Run Guernsey

A complete resource for all things about running in Guernsey

Time to hit the dirt!

Shortening days, falling leaves, a chill in the air can only mean one thing to seasoned runners – it’s time for Cross Country!  Whilst the very phrase cross country may evoke memories of school-day dread, cross country running  is one of the best things a runner can do to build strength which will enhance every aspect of recreational and competitive running.  GIAAC’s winter cross country series is now open for registration and the multi division format enabling athletes to race distances that are manageable for them whilst also providing a friendly competitive element by pitching runners of similar abilities together.

Five fixtures running from Delancey Park on Saturday 31st October to a finale in February at Home Farm (Rear of Saumarez Park) the series provide a variety of terrains to sample.

More details and a link to the registration page can be found on the GIAAC website : http://guernseyathletics.org.gg/events/fnb-cross-country-series/
